Mission:
At Civil Anarchy Den, the mission is simple: share the hard-earned knowledge that comes from years of wrangling Civil 3D when it’s acting more like a toddler than a design tool. From workarounds and practical fixes to deep dives into best practices and researched insights, this space is built for those who want to cut through the chaos and make Civil 3D work for them—not the other way around. Civil 3D: It’s not a bug, it’s a feature. Allegedly.

Greetings and Salutations!
Hi, I'm Kate Brown—civil designer, CAD wrangler, and unofficial toddler whisperer for Civil 3D. With 20+ years in civil design and 28 years of AutoCAD experience under my belt, I've seen it all—from beautifully modeled corridors to profile views that vanish like socks in a dryer. These days, I support and train Civil 3D users at an engineering firm with over 1,000 employees, helping teams tame the chaos and turn CAD software tantrums into productive workflows. Civil Anarchy Den is my outlet for sharing hard-earned wisdom, rebellious tips, and the occasional sarcastic commentary on the software we love—and love to hate.
